As we have no standard range of units we can produce any shape , size or style. There are no limits to what type of kitchen we produce , your imagination and dreams can be realised.
Units can be produced from many timbers European Oak , Maple , Mahogany , American Ash , Cherry , Walnut , Sycamore ,Wenge or a combination of any of the timbers. We also supplying quite a few painted kitchens , these are usually constructed from Poplar ( Tulip wood ) we prefer this to MDF as it provides more character however the doors can be constructed in MDF if required. We can also provide veneered doors which opens up a huge variety of styles ,designs and timbers.
The kitchen carcases are usually constructed from 18mm melamine boarding , the main advantages are cost and the practicality of the inside of the units being neat , maintenance and the easily cleanable surface. We can provide real wood veneered interiors spray finished in cellulose lacquer , but with the quality of the melamine boards now it is hard to tell them apart and the cost usually outweighs any advantages. It is also possible to have solid wood carcases but the cost is quite prohibitive , but this is always an option .
We can provide all the latest accessories for the kitchens , from pull out larders , wire baskets , large stainless steel larder units , wicker baskets ,built in radios and TV's , wine racks etc. There is almost no limit now to the type of accessory available . All the products we use are German made and are of excellent trouble free quality.
We can supply a large range of drawers , from stainless steel or Beech with adjustable dividers, racks for knives , spice drawers , cutlery drawers pan drawers , all with adjustable compartments , drawers with glass fronts, or the ultimate drawer , hand made in matching or contrasting timbers with dovetailed joints. All the drawers are fitted on a very high quality , reliable concealed ball bearing runners. All drawers can now be fitted with the 'Soft close ' action , the ultimate in drawer design. Lighting is also a very important part of the kitchen and we can supply and fit a large range of the very latest lighting , some which can be switched on just by passing your hand close to the fitting or gentle touch control dimmers , lighting can be fitted to switch on automatically as doors are opened , or fitted behind glass shelving to glow through the edge of the shelves. A popular use of lighting is to place it in the plinths so as to provide a soft glow at floor level .
As we have no restriction on the units available or accessories fitted we also often design in items like handmade trays , chopping boards , spice drawers , display cabinets, pull out tables , wicker baskets etc. The is no limit to what can be fitted.
All our kitchens are fitted by a specialist team of fitters who have spent years learning all the intricacies of fitting a quality kitchen , even a well made hugely expensive kitchen can be poorly fitted so we take this aspect of the work very seriously .
The finish of the units is obviously very important , they can be finished in cellulose lacquer , hand painted , spray painted or left primed or natural ready for you to finish as required. In some cases as can be seen in some of the picture we have incorporated several of the finished . One where a third of the units were in solid Oak lacquered , the island units were painted with European oak corner posts and handles the third section was completely hand painted , it may sound slightly odd but it works very well creating three visibly separate areas in a large kitchen , as with all aspects of our work any ideas are encouraged and can be accommodated.
Kitchen units tend now to come in two distinct styles , with lay-on doors the modern approach with clean lines , or the traditional design of a frame fitted to the carcase and the doors and drawers are inset within the frame creating a 'flush ' appearance . The latter style is the most common in today's kitchen , it creates a much neater appearance , easier to maintain , neat and adds a real touch of 'class ' to the overall impact. Plinths can also be recessed as has been done for many years or the traditional way with plinths on the face of the frames , similar to a skirting , this appearance may look very traditional , and different but is not so practical .
Door design is again a massive subject and certainly all the style we could produce is endless , frames can be square edged or beaded, the doors could be the popular ' Shaker' style , they could have recessed panels , raised and fielded panels in many styles , they can be beaded , they could have tongued and grooved or bead and butt boarding , they could have flush panels with delicte moulding around the panels they could have a contrasting panel , or perhaps inlaid lines , handed could be 'hidden ' or hand made to your own design the list is endless .
we can provide many different types of worktops from laminates in many shapes and sizes , to solid timber like Maple , Beech, European Oak, Amercian Ash , Iroko , we can also provide Corian or the most popular Granite . The granite comes in a huge variety of colours , they are extremely hardwearing , beautiful to look at good for pastry and general cooking , these are fitted b our specialist fitters. The timber worktops although they look good when new do require constant care and attention , not easy with our busy lifestyles. We often fit granite in the high use areas, like around the sink , ovens and cooking area's then use timber tops elsewhere. Glass tops can also be used , coming in many different styles and colours. They are particularly good for breakfast bar area's . Lastly for the expert chefs stainless steel tops and splash backs can be supplied and fitted.
Appliances are extremely important within in the kitchen ,we supply and fit most manufacturers , there are so many appliances to have in a kitchen now , Range cookers , Aga's , Built in ovens , Microwaves, coffee makers ,wine fridges, American style fridge freezers, Fridges , freezers Steamers, warming drawers , Tv's and stereo's the list is endless .
